Packaging Our Fasteners for Maximum Accuracy
We’re proud to achieve 99.5% accuracy in order fulfillment year after year, and credit our dedicated team for delivering such great customer service. Of course, they would be the first to tell you that their A-game is also a result of the process and technology they use.
To us, packaging is where the rubber meets the road – and that’s why we’ve fine-tuned our fulfillment process as though it were a Formula One race car. Give us two minutes, and we’ll show you how the moving parts work together.
We’re Already Prepared For Your Order
Prospect Fastener stocks in advance of our customers’ next orders. We keep backorders to a minimum by maintaining excellent relationships with our suppliers, and always looking at the road ahead. But making sure we have inventory is only a small part of our value proposition.
Because we don’t enforce manufacturer minimums, the orders we receive are usually for smaller quantities bagged in specific counts. As such, our team puts a high priority on verifying the details of these assemblies – often before a customer order is placed. Through a system of pre-planning and triple checking, your retaining rings, pins and clamps are checked and ready to go exactly when you need them.
It’s On the Bag (Before It’s In the Bag)
Our proprietary bag-printing technology is used for qualified orders, and fully integrated with our ERP system - the software which governs all areas of our operation. Working in tandem with our inventory database, calibrated scales, and dedicated team members, the technology allows us to print the product information directly on durable polypropylene bags.
Each bag is printed with all relevant product information, the quantity contained, and a barcode that will be scanned multiple times before leaving our dock. For customers with more complex needs, we are also able to print their company logo, custom part numbers, and other information that helps provide a tailored supply chain experience.
Prospect Fastener also has the capability to serve as a de facto fulfillment center for companies with a national or global presence.
Signed, Sealed and Inspected (again)
We require a third checkpoint before we ship. A fresh set of eyes, and one more level of assurance that errors will be avoided. Does the barcode match the order and the physical product? Is the count indeed correct? Is this exactly what was (or will be) ordered? If yes, then spoken-for products will be shipped immediately. If we’re holding the items for future shipping, a stock location label will be printed on the spot and the items placed in the appropriate holding area.
Delivery, Your Way
Prospect Fastener redefines flexibility when it comes to shipping options. We offer standard, express, and international service. We can also drop ship all or part of your order. Moreover, we are equipped to pre-pack your order for secondary shipping to save your distribution center time upon receipt. For example, if your order for 4000 retaining rings will be split between four of your locations, but marshalled by a single facility – we’ll include four boxes of 1000 rings each, marked for their final destinations as per your request.
Lot traceability is in place for every item that leaves our dock. In the rare event of a problem, we have the records and bandwidth to immediately make it right.
